Engine block upgrade

If the paint job is successful and we start rebuilding a project, we will look at what appearance the bike needs.

For an old look, keep the donor block in its current state. We upgrade the block for a chic look. In this case we did this with vintage valve covers and gray with black cylinders and a ribbed primary cover.

Frame for an electric motor

At L&L, a motor with electrical assistance is not on our wish list.
But when customer Alex came by with 200 mm rear tire, 50 amp battery, 3000w Electra motor, a Chopper front fork, an example of a frame assembled with a glue gun and the question whether we could make a nice frame, we thought this was a nice challenge.

A nice job for the autumn,   where we will see with which material we can build a nice frame for this with of course …. a specific L&L design!

Vintage Bobber handlebar

Only handlebars with risers are available for the modern Harley springer front forks.
In this case, the desire was to create a vintage bobber handlebar (without risers). We solved this by means of a mounting plate, as was used in the past.

The Good Old Flatfender

In the days when there were no round fenders on the market, we used a flatfender for narrow tires. For the wide tires we used a trailer mudguard, they are wafer thin but you had to do something.

Today we work on projects with car tires, with the 2mm thick and 200mm wide flatfender.

Sporty Boardtracker

We’re putting the finishing touches on the structural work. For example, we have put together a sporty steering wheel with matching handles and a cover plate with hole pattern for the retro jumper. The battery box, petrol and oil cap in the same style, license plate with a Hotrod taillight.

At the request of the customer, the air filter and the ignition coil are fitted with covers. To place the start button and ignition lock, the electrical box is located under the oval oil tank.
Chamber bushes have been used for the headlight support, with the heads of the Allen screws nicely recessed.

New Skool

For customer Miriam, we mounted two sets of fenders and tanks during the structural work.
Miriam is a creative person and loves to experiment.
Last year she toured with the IL tank in the color gray and it already received a lot of attention.
During the winter period she focused on special painting.
This year with the Sportster tank on the Old Skool, Miriam will undoubtedly get a lot of attention again.

Horseshoe oil tank

We manufactured an oil tank for customer Raf.

Stainless steel plate is a nice material to make a horseshoe oil tank. Naturally TIG welded for a neat, clean and strong connection.

We bend fixed stainless steel pipes for the connection.

Sporty Boardtracker

For the enthusiastic customer Heiko we started with the structural work.
His wish is to use hole patterns on the forward controls, battery box and mounts. Furthermore, an oval oil tank and a sporty tank with an extra deep tunnel which gives a fast look.

To be continued.

Car tire

Henry, customer since 1996, came by with a block and gear-box. After a cup of coffee, he indicated that he had some ideas again for an extremely new project.
We were allowed to work with a car tire, it has been a long time since we mounted one, but the look is great!
