Triumph  Boardtracker from Rik

The frame is back from the painter and the engine has been thoroughly overhauled, which is necessary when the engines are a bit older.
For the technical part, the engine has been completely disassembled and all irregularities have been repaired.
For the look we polished a large part of the engine, sprayed the cylinders and finished with chrome accents and we used a home made ribbed primary case.
Now the assembly can begin!

Can it be a little longer…?

Customer Henri has been driving this fork for about 25 years and thinks it is time to make a change.
The question was asked whether it was possible to fit a longer fork, and as you know… we don’t like to say no.
After building a new frame for a fork that’s 10 inch longer than the old one, we roughly build up some part.

Frame registration

We have again offered a few frames to the RDW for the engraving of a frame number.
The registration of the frame and associated gearbox and block is the way to obtain an official registration certificate and only applies for the Dutch market.

From the old days

This week we found a few projects in our archive that are not yet on the site, but that we don’t want to keep from you!

Ruige sportster softail van Roel

AttackKIT with a little help …

Customer Joost has purchased a donor Sportster with a Bobber Attackkit, but was too busy and had not yet started the project seriously.

With the help of L&L most of the donor parts have been processed in the Bobber, but a few new parts have also been used. L&L did the construction work, had the Bobber inspected and arranged the registration number. The frame is powder coated, but otherwise remained rough because Joost has not decided on the further finish.

The Bobber is delivered roadworthy, so who knows, the inspiration might come during a ride!

Triumph Boardtracker

Out of curiosity Rik visited the open days in the shop in Rijen. Once inside, while enjoying a cup of coffee, he saw the Boardtrackers.

The thing is Rik had still a little project laying around, a Triumph and after weeks of bad sleep he wanted to do something with it. He decided that he wanted to build a Boardtracker with his Triumph.

When delivering the engine, Rik indicated that he would like to be surprised, this is obviously very risky, because then the bucket of inspiration and creativity at L&L flows over! A must is the 23 inch narrow rims and tires with line profile, the 30’s tank and a special springer.

Early Shovel with Zerostyle hardtail

Koen is a great lover of the Zerostyle chopper. After the renovations on his bikes there was an Early Shovel in the corner of the garage, suitable for a new project.

L & L has made the hardtail frame to koen’s desired specifications and because of his busy profession, and therefore a shortage of free time, we also helped with the design.

Coen his Old Skool

Customer Old Skool Coen comes from the idyllic village of De Rijp in North Holland. After a number of visits, construction started, partly thanks to his enthusiastic girlfriend.

In his examples there were, in our opinion, a bit too many black parts. But in consultation, a brilliant Chopper will be put on the road.

Old Skool Chopper

Soon we can rejoice customer David with his Old Skool Chopper.

We have taken care of the engine block, black with ribs, valve covers and brass details.

The rear fork of the retro springer is painted in Rootbeer color, the homemade fork is matt chrome and gets a rugged look due to the ball cartridges.

Big Wheels

The L&L crew believes that 23-inch wheels are the maximum height in terms of design.

But…. we have been seduced by customer Raf and have taken up the challenge to build with 26 inch wheels.
