Triumph Boardtracker

This beautiful bike won an award at the Bigtwin show in the category Freestyle and is soon to be featured in the magazine.

Visiting Japan

Some time ago we explored Japan with a select group. The program included a visit to a bike show, but especially the insights into the small chopper shops were very special.
I have already visited many places in my life; Africa, America, Australia, South America, then you would think you have already experienced everything.
But nothing could be further from the truth … Asia is like visiting a completely different world. It was a very special experience.

The Bikeshow
A cozy chopper shop, it’s good that the Japanese are a bit smaller
Technology is ahead in Japan, a few cilinders are waiting for further finishing..
A few cylinder heads
Knucklehead heads in a display case, always nice to see.
Everything is possible
Fun
The hotrod is a part of it
With the whole family.
Japan has a metric system, but they drive on the left side

Coen his Old Skool

Customer Old Skool Coen comes from the idyllic village of De Rijp in North Holland. After a number of visits, construction started, partly thanks to his enthusiastic girlfriend.

In his examples there were, in our opinion, a bit too many black parts. But in consultation, a brilliant Chopper will be put on the road.

1st prize at Bikes and Boards for Rob’s 23 inch Vintage Racer

Last Sunday the annual event Bikes and Boards took place on the beach of Zandvoort. During the Bikeshow, Arjan van den Boom and Sven Ermstrang judged all custom bikes on technique, style and creativity. This year’s winner was Rob with the 23-inch Vintage Racer that L&L Choppers custom built for him.

Huge turnout open day in Rijen

Rijen stilte voor de storm

Last weekend we had our annual open day in Rijen. We showed off all our  finished and rough finished choppers.

From early in the morning on Saturday the visitors were already there and the visitors continued coming until closing time. Of course, there were many existing customers, but we could also welcome many new faces.

The enthusiasm for our build projects and our custom parts was enormous. We have experienced this as very pleasant and therefore thanks!

Panhead covers for Harley

We have another set of Panhead covers left. These can be used for Evo engines but are also suitable for Sportster.

If you are interested, let us know soon because else they’re gone!

Treasure from the shed

You don’t see it a lot anymore, a bike that sat in a dark corner of the barn for 20 years. We were the lucky discoverers of this genuine shovelhead with character.

Homemade tank and coil cover

Furniture makers , clock makers , blacksmiths … Fewer and fewer people understand the art of old skool craftsmanship, which requires a pair of big callused hands, smart thinking and a creative mind. This craft is also needed for building choppers like the way they used to do it way back. Those days, there were no shelves packed full of ready-made chopper-parts… let alone AutoCAD and CNC machines.

L&L Choppers believes that traditional craftsmanship should never be lost. Because… what is more unique than a hand-fabricated bike? Here are some photos from a homemade tank for Jacques’ Softail and the fabrication of a coil cover with a power hammer. Check Craftsmanship for more photos.
